Amwaj International appoints new auditor to resolve financial reporting delay

Riyadh — Mubasher: Amwaj International Company stated that its newly appointed external auditor has commenced the review of the company’s preliminary financial results for the six-month period ended on 30 June 2026.

The move follows an earlier statement on 1 September 2026, in addition to a recent resolution by the Ordinary General Assembly to appoint Dr. Mohamed Al Amri & Co. (BDO) as the company’s auditor, according to a bourse filing.

The company attributed the reporting delay to the extended time required to finalize and publish the annual financial statements for the 2025 year.

This delay subsequently impacted the timeline for appointing an auditor for the 2026 interim period.

Amwaj International previously disclosed its inability to meet the regulatory publishing deadline on September 01, 2026.

Meanwhile, the audit process is currently underway to complete all necessary requirements before presenting the statements to the audit committee and the board of directors.

The listed company committed to providing monthly updates on its progress and confirmed it will publish the financial results immediately upon approval by the external auditor to ensure compliance with Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) listing requirements.
